Glenn County is on the west side of the Sacramento River. Glenn has clean air, wide open spaces, and fertile ground.
Stony Gorge Reservoir is just a short drive into the mountains west of Willows. The dam is a concrete slab and buttress structure with a height of 139 feet and a crest length of 868 feet.
Thunder Hill Raceway is a road racing course located 7 miles West of Willows on Hwy 162. The standard road course at Thunderhill Park is a 3.0-mile, 15 turn course with minor elevation changes, however the track is configurable and event organizers can configure the course as they see fit.
The major industry in Glenn County is farming. The most common products are rice, corn, wheat, oranges, prunes, walnuts and almonds. There are many dairies in Glenn County as well.
Glenn County has many creeks, streams and reservoirs. World class salmon and shad run through the Sacramento River. There is easy access to the Sacramento River for camping, fishing, swimming or boating. Glenn has an abundance of ducks available for hunting. Duck hunting brings hundreds of hunters from around the world to Glenn County.
Glenn County has eight school districts and 19 different school throughout the county.
Census Bureau in 2013 indicates the population was approximately 27,940.
